Master Classes
Master Classes are peer-led workshops where a club member who has expertise in a specific discipline gives a presentation and leads an interactive workshop. Topics include but are not limited to Natural Language Processing (NLP), Support Vector Machines (SVMs), and Neural Networks.
Guest Speakers
In the past, we've had Guest Speakers give presentations on Machine Learning, Database Indices, Causal Inference, and Data Science Career Advice.
For Fall 2023 we have guest speakers lined up who will speak on topics such as Neural Networks, Vector Databases, and Generative AI.
External Networking Events
Silicon Slopes has become a hub for Data Professionals across Salt Lake and Utah counties. The Data Science Club attends monthly networking events hosted by MLOps Utah, Utah Data Engineering Meetup, and Utah DevOps.
These events reguarly provide great opportunities to meet new people and learn new things.
